Jordi decided to audition for a play at his elementary school’s newly founded drama club and actually landed the lead role. After that, his parents had no choice but to support the young actor’s passion and talent. With that support, Jordi was able to get a manager, book commercials, and land a major role in his first movie, The Last Homerun. After being accepted into the Ransom Everglades School, he pursued more theater and won accolades for his performances in plays at local and state levels. By the end of his senior year, he had been president of his thespian society and had earned a scholarship to the University of Miami for acting in their B.F.A. program; however, fate had other plans for Jordi. Having gone out to Los Angeles for opportunities and in order to gain representation in his earlier years, Hollywood came a’ calling. Jordi decided to give up the scholarship and pursue acting at a professional level. He engrossed himself in acting classes and auditions. Slowly, the struggling actor started landing small roles in shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and independent films. His biggest break though came ten months later, when he was offered a contract on CBS’s Guiding Light. From 2000 till 2003, Jordi would play the role of young mafia hot head, Tony Santos. The role won him two daytime Emmy nominations and one Emmy trophy for best younger actor in 2003. After his contract had expired, Jordi decided not to re-sign but to test his luck back in Hollywood in order to pursue roles in film and primetime television. He has worked on such great films as Andy Garcia’s The Lost City and television programs as CBS’s Numb3rs. He resides in Santa Monica and is currently pursuing his passion for acting as well as producing his first independent feature. He wishes to thank God, his parents and family, and all of his supporters who have been with him from the beginning.
